Drone surveying allows for fast and accurate measurement and survey data and allows for a better visualization of the construction process. For example building plans can be overlaid on the orthomosaic images we generate from surveys and progress reports can be produced with accompanied photos.
We can also generate:
accurate slope measurements.
Digital Terrain Models.
3D models(.obj) and point clouds(LAS and .XYZ).
detailed high resolution 2D orthomosaic images.
measurements of height length area and volume.
These can be provided as Geotiff, Jpeg, PDF, Contour Shapefile, Raw elevation DEM, Contour DXF files for use in Auto CAD and other software. Maps created from successive flights can be overlaid on top of each other to better illustrate progress over time.
3D models generated from processed drone surveys are a great way to visualize progress and design information for partners and clients.
Drone surveying is also much faster than traditional methods. For example, a survey of a ten acre plot can be completed in under an hour. Using a drone negates the health and safety risks of trying to measure hard to reach areas and places with dangerous terrain by traditional means. All of our operations can be carried out while maintaining a social distance and minimizing the risk of spreading Covid-19.s. Aerial surveys can also be carried out without majorly hindering the ground operations of workers and machinery on site.
GPS Ground Control Points and/or RTK solutions can be employed to generate survey grade accurate results. All surveys are accompanied with a processing report detailing the accuracy.
Drones can also be used to generate detailed progress reports, highlighted safety and issue reports for sites, greatly improving the quality of data needed to monitor progress and assess health and safety on site.
